1. Have a safari party – you can make card board cut outs to place around the yard for kids to hunt or have adults come dressed as their favorite animal. You can choose to serve safari foods or have safari games.
2. Have a tea party – this is great for girls of all ages or for grown women as well. It could be the perfect theme for a wedding shower or baby shower. Make it a traditional tea party or just play off the idea (make it southern tea party where you serve iced tea and have southern belle inspired games and favors).
3. Have a surprise party – it can be a surprise for the honored guest or you can make the theme a surprise for every one that is attending. Have a box of items that they can use to make their themed costume or have them guess at what the menu is or will be. You can offer prizes to those that guess correctly.
4. Have a garden party – make it a traditional garden party hosted in the garden or you can make the menu from the garden. You could even make the venue look like a garden and give away items that are garden related.

Some times the best event is planned around a great theme. Some themes will transcend age and location. Choosing one of these themes will help you direct your event planning and may even allow you to end up saving big on your budget – all while planning an event that is memorable to all that attend for all the right reasons.
